Homes.com, a division of Dominion Enterprises, has announced its sponsorship of the Good Neighbor Awards, an annual event that recognizes Realtors® who have made extraordinary contributions to improving the quality of life in their communities through volunteer work.

This is the first year Homes.com has participated as a sponsor. Currently, 10 Good Neighbor Award finalists have been selected and one of the finalists will be profiled each week in REALTOR magazine. In October, five of these finalists will be named winners and each will receive $10,000 grants for their charities. The remaining five honorable mentions each will receive $2,500.

Homes.com joins eNeighborhoods, another Dominion Enterprises business, in this sponsorship. eNeighborhoods is a founding sponsor of the Good Neighbor Awards and has been a sponsor for the awards for the past nine years.

"Realtors are often recognized for knowing the community, but less often for serving the community," said Jason Doyle, Homes.com vice president. "The Good Neighbor Awards are a unique opportunity to show that many Realtors are a force not only in the business but in service to their community. Homes.com is proud to support and recognize these Realtors who do so much for their neighbors."

"Realtors work hard to help people across the nation realize the dream of home ownership. The Good Neighbor Awards recognize that many go above and beyond that in their local communities," said Ernie Blood, vice president of Homes.com. "We are honored to be a sponsor of the Good Neighbor Awards, and help to recognize the Realtors who serve their communities every day."

The 10 Good Neighbor Award finalists for 2008 are:

  • Mary E. Bacon, Bob Parks Realty, LLC, Mt. Juliet, Tennessee
  • Lei Barry, Keller Williams Real Estate, Blue Bell, Pennsylvania
  • H. Burton Foster, Century 21 Gold Standard, East Aurora, New York
