At Interop in New York this past week, ImageStream announced that it will offer two new LAN switch lines, the Medalist Series and the Delta Series. The Medalist Series is a new line of carrier grade L2 and L3 metro ethernet switches, and the Delta Series is a new line of L2 ruggedized switches.

The Medalist Series includes 1U rackmount 10/100 and gigabit copper and optical switches with 8 to 48 ports. Medalist switches can be managed in-band using Web management or out-of-band using serial console, with options for AC, -48 VDC and redundant power supplies.

Medalist L2 switches provide advanced features including jumbo frames up to 9 Kb, 16K MAC addresses, VLAN tagging with QinQ, rate limiting in 64 Kbps increments, access lists, QoS/CoS, 802.3x flow control, IGMP snooping, MVR, NTP and more. Medalist L3 switches include dynamic routing with RIP and OSPF, link aggregation, L2 - L4 QoS, and the entire range of powerful L2 features supported by Medalist L2 switches.

The Delta Series includes L2 managed 10/100 and gigabit switches with copper and optical ports for factory automation and other demanding applications that require extended temperature operation from -40 to +75 C (-40 to 167 F). Delta switches run Linux, and can be managed in-band using HTTP/HTTPS or out-of-band using serial console via USB or RS232. Delta switches support powerful features including VLANs, STP/RSTP, QoS/CoS, SNMP v1/2/3, IGMP snooping, port mirroring, 802.3x flow control, NTP and more.

Delta chassis are made of lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminum and can be purchased with conformal coating. The switches are available in DIN rail and rackmount versions that support set-top, wall-mount, DIN rail and rackmount installation. DIN rail versions provide redundant DC power inputs for 10 to 30 VDC operation with optional AC/DC power supplies. Rackmount versions also offer redundant AC or DC power options.

ImageStream will ship the Medalist and Delta Series switches within 60 days. For more information, please contact ImageStream at (800) 813-5123 or visit the ImageStream Web site at ImageStream.
