House Sitting: Protecting Vacant Homes in America

HouseSitMexico.com has launched a second website HouseSitAmerica.com providing the connection between homeowners and house sitters

Barra de Navidad, Mexico (PRWEB) September 23, 2008 -- HouseSitMexico.com has launched a second website HouseSitAmerica.com providing the connection between homeowners and house sitters.
Vacant homes across the country are being burglarized at a high rate…Many homes have been left empty by homeowners who cannot rent them" CNN.com July 22, 2008

It is all about security!

Our primary market is homeowners who leave their house for vacation or need someone to sit their home or vacation home while it is vacant
The growing demand for house sitters in America
comes from three major sources:

1. Over 6 million Americans own vacation homes that need watching while not occupied.

2. Millions of homeowners want someone to sit their primary residences while they are away on business or vacation.

3. Over one million homes have been vacated due to the "mortgage crisis". Banks need reliable house sitters to watch these homes until they are sold to protect their investment.

House Sit Mexico launched its first website in February 2008 to bring homeowners and house sitters together to protect vacation homes in Mexico. Over 25,000 people have visited the site and have made it a success.

For homeowners the benefits to having a house sitter living the house are many including: security, maintenance, paying for utilities and lawn/garden care. House sitters can care for pets as well.

House sitters benefit from living rent-free usually paying only for utilities.

HouseSitAmerica.com was launched on August 25, 2008 and is beginning to attract homeowners and house sitters. A new feature for both sites is a complete shopping mall, with over 50 stores, where registered house sitters get 2% cash back on most purchases from many name brand companies. The company is planning on adding more money saving features to the sites.

"Our primary market is homeowners who leave their house for vacation or need someone to sit their home or vacation home while it is vacant" says Bea Bigle, co-founder. "However, because of the current "mortgage crisis" we are focusing our marketing efforts toward banks who need qualified sitters to watch over homes while they are for sale protecting their investment. These houses need security, maintenance and a "lived-in" look to make them saleable". We urge the owners of home that are vacant, for whatever reason, to look into having a qualified house sitter to protect the house.

Homeowners list for FREE. House sitters pay only $29 for one year of advertising on the site and receive 2% cash back on items purchased in The Mall.
