Video action from the World Sheepdog Trials is now available online at Ffermio TV (http://www.ffermio.tv), the agricultural and countryside portal.
Competing and final runs are all available online as of today at http://ffermio.tv/en/world-sheepdog-trials-2008 to coincide with the broadcast of an hour long programme highlighting some of the preparation and competing at the World Sheepdog Trials, (Monday, 22nd of September: 8.25pm, S4C).
The event was held at Dinefwr Park in Llandeilo in West Wales, UK between September the 11th and 14th 2008. The event attracted 240 sheepdogs and their owners from 22 countries across the World including Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, Austria, South Africa and Canada as well as thousands of visitors.
The site also features a new game based on the traditional sheepdog trials called Fleeced. Visitors to the website can choose to play three levels, from herding sheep through the Welsh Hill, to shepherding them through the streets of New York and, at the most advanced level, across the Arctic tundra of Norway. The game is free to play at http://ffermio.tv/en/fleeced-game.
Also on http://www.ffermio.tv is a gallery of photographs taken by the Ffermio team from the event. See the filming crew in action, the competitors at work and highlights of the prize-giving ceremony.
