The first and only magazine devoted to private islands, the new publication by Private Islands Inc. has stunning high-resolution images, innovative online Google Earth tours, and detailed looks at the world's top island properties.

The world's premier firm for the marketing of private islands has announced the launch of Private Islands Magazine, the first publication devoted to the people and properties found in this unique facet of international real estate. Now available in an online format, a luxurious print edition is scheduled for release in January of 2009. Company founder and CEO Chris Krolow said that the decision to pursue magazine publication was an easy one.

"Private Islands Inc. has always been about far more than simply real estate sales- we're also actively involved in promoting the dream and lifestyle associated with private islands," he said. "Our magazine showcases the premier islands for sale and rental, and offers an in-depth look at the many personalities -- famous and otherwise -- who make our business so interesting. It's a perfect medium for us, and an unusual niche that hasn't been filled -- and in fact, really couldn't be filled without intimate knowledge of our industry."

Packed with hi-res pictorials of top properties, interviews with island personalities, and articles on hot international real estate markets, Private Islands Magazine also provides original Google Earth tours that give readers a birds-eye view of islands worldwide. "This is one of my favourite aspects of our online edition," Krolow said. "For example, those with an interest in our Celebrity Island Profiles can sit back and travel across the globe, viewing the actual islands of top Hollywood actors and famous singers. Those looking for unique vacations can do the same with exclusive resorts, and of course, there are also tours of islands for sale."

Subscriptions are now being accepted online for the magazine's launch publication in January, and the current web edition can be viewed at "We initially intended the print version to be a small number for our clients and select retailers, but with the interest we've been receiving, it may grow to something entirely more", said Krolow. "And we have an open mind as to the magazine's evolution. My company's mandate is really about sharing our passion for islands with the world, and we look forward to continually finding new ways of doing so. It's part of the adventure."
