This announcement underscores a surge of media and entertainment providers deploying Adobe Flash Media Server 3 using the CDNetworks' platform and services. B2 Networks broadcasts live events to an international global audience and plans to deliver 10,000 television-style live sports and entertainment events on the Internet in the next 12 months. The new B2 Networks player with Adobe Flash technology delivers an improved online user experience by providing H.264 streaming capabilities. Along with live event viewing, B2's customizable player allows viewers to receive live interactive scoring; participate in interactive sessions; and see promotions from individual event sponsors and products via the B2 Networks Interactive Advertising Platform.
B2 Networks is also using CDNetworks' Media Authentication, which assigns access privileges preventing unauthorized users from viewing streaming multimedia content. Coupled with B2 Networks' Signal Identification and Protection System, the security and identification of each viewer of the live broadcast is ensured.
