It's always an honor to be considered among 'the world's best,'

For the eleventh straight year Tauck World Discovery of Norwalk, CT is featured prominently in Travel + Leisure magazine's exclusive "World's Best Awards." The awards are voted on by the magazine's subscribers, and honor readers' top picks in a number of categories. Tauck was again recognized in the "World's Best Safari Outfitter and Tour Operator" category, and of the thousands of tour and safari companies around the world, Tauck ranked an impressive fifth on the list.

Although the list's rankings typically fluctuate somewhat from year-to-year, Tauck has been by far the most consistent name in the tour/safari category since the awards' debut in the 1990s. In fact, Tauck is the only company to be in the awards' "top ten" list every year since 1998. During that time, Tauck has captured the #1 ranking on three different occasions.

"It's always an honor to be considered among 'the world's best,'" said Tauck CEO Dan Mahar, "and when the accolade comes from a magazine that's as highly regarded as Travel + Leisure, it means even more."

"The fact that we've been on the list so consistently is a credit to our fantastic staff," added Mahar. "They consistently design and deliver authentic and engaging travel experiences that exceed our guests' expectations." Tauck also enjoys one of the travel industry's highest repeat-guest rate, and each year over half of the people who travel with the company are return customers.

Now in its 83rd year, Tauck World Discovery is a world-leader in upscale, escorted travel. The company operates over 100 distinctive land journeys, ocean cruises, river cruises, safaris, family travel packages, and exclusive VIP events in more than 60 countries worldwide. The annual World's Best Awards are featured in the August issue of Travel + Leisure.
