Pearson and Rio Salado College Save Students More Than 50 Percent on Textbooks.

We worked directly with Rio Salado's faculty to create textbooks that would meet their students' learning and financial needs

Rio Salado College, a community college catering to working adults in Tempe, Ariz., recently faced a tough challenge: How could they create textbooks for their online students that offered personalized content, yet also saved students money?

"We asked our students what they wanted, and one of the things that came through loud and clear was they did not want a textbook that had a lot of content in it that they didn't use," said Todd Simmons, Vice President, Business and Employee Services, Rio Salado College. "One of the other things students told us when we interviewed them is that they wanted the savings up front."
