In the Spring of 2008, Eric Graham launched Akadema Dugout, a webstore that specializes in baseball and softball products by Akadema, one of the top sports companies in the world. As the year comes closer to an end, Graham has beefed up his online catalog and added a blog.

Now my daughter plays competitive fast pitch, so I feel that baseball is an everlasting fixture in my life. It's definitely a field I enjoy.

Eric Graham, founder of http://www.AkademaDugout.com, is a diehard baseball fan, to point where he started his webstore on a pillar that is considered America's Past Time. "I played baseball for years with friends and on the church team," recalled Graham. "Now my daughter plays competitive fast pitch, so I feel that baseball is an everlasting fixture in my life. It's definitely a field I enjoy."

Launching in May 2008, Graham's store carries exclusively Akadema baseball and softball products. Though Akadema has only been around for a number of years, they're already considered to be one of the top 25 sports companies. "They've got some really good endorsements, as far as the professional athletes go," said Graham. "I tried their products and found it to be really high quality. It's something I could promote."

Though it's only a few months old, Akadema Dugout is constantly changing and Graham continues to add to his catalog on a regular basis: "I'm adding more apparel and accessories - batting cage jackets, spikes and sweatsuits."

It might be in its infancy, but Graham envisions a day when he will be able to help out local teams in his native Arkansas. "In the long run, I hope to help promote the game, perhaps sponsoring some ball teams," he said. "I'd hope to involve my daughter with this business someday, too."

In addition to the ever expanding product line and goals, Akadema Dugout also has its own blog in http://www.BaseballAndSoftballBlog.com. According to Graham, the blog will have a variety of topics ranging from features about teams, individual players, sports history, as well as a call to support local teams. "I don't want the business just for my self," he said, "I want to help others as well."

At the end of the day, Eric Graham's business exists to keep a longstanding tradition of Americana going strong and with the quality of products that he has up on Akadema Dugout, the new generations of Griffeys, Mantles and DiMaggios can play with both affordable, excellent equipment and style.
