Teri Thrasher launched Tackle Boxes Galore in the spring of 2008 and almost immediately catered to fishing fans of all types, be it novice or expert. Now, Thrasher has started a complimentary blog for fishermen all over the world to exchange ideas and share stories about their "lure-d" tales.
Mansfield, IL (PRWEB) September 28, 2008 -- When Teri Thrasher decided to open an online business, she looked no further than her husband to draw upon her form of inspiration. "My husband, Bryan, is an avid fisherman," she said. "He has a great desire to fish and use the best equipment possible and we decided to offer the great products and deals we found to other fishing fans."
In March 2008, Thrasher launched www.TackleBoxesGalore.com, a website that specializes in tackleboxes and cases for the fishing crowd - both adults and kids, expert and novice. The selection on the site is vast and comes with a host of items, such as rod cases to kids' starter boxes that are coupled with instructional DVDs for tykes who are learning to fish.
"We wanted to begin our business with what every fisherman needs," said Thrasher. "Our main focus is to get the fisherman who is either fishing for a hobby or is a tournament winner, all the best goods that we trust."
As the website grows exponentially, Thrasher hopes to add more items, creating an all-encompassing fishing resource, as well as adding additional products that will generally promote outdoor activities. "Our plans include offering more fishing equipment," she aid. "Our expansion will be exciting to see!"
Part of Tackle Boxes Galore's current expansion is the inclusion of a new blog, www.OutdoorsGaloreAndMore.com. While the blog will expand on the Thrashers' collective love of fishing, they are also creating a forum, in which fishermen from all around the world can have an open dialogue about the sport that binds them all together.
"We would love to hear the stories of other fishermen," explained Thrasher. "Not only is this inspirational for us, personally, but it would also offer advice and hope to other fishermen who get discouraged.
"This blog can also give advice on trying new bait or techniques," she continued. "Our hope is that the blog will be a resource where every visitor can get, or give, something that will help others in their goals of fishing."
