XMission Upgrades Email Customers to Open Source Zimbra
XMission Internet announced today that it will upgrade all of its Mail Center customers to Zimbra, an open source solution. According to executives, this upgrade will greatly improve service for its business clients. XMission offers Zimbra services nationwide.
Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) September 29, 2008 --Today, XMission Internet announced that it will begin upgrading all of its customers currently using XMission Mailcenter to its new Hosted Email service, powered by Zimbra™. Customers will not experience any downtime during the transition, nor will they lose any email correspondence.
According to XMission President & Founder, Pete Ashdown, this upgrade to Zimbra version 5.0.9 will vastly improve service for businesses who host their email with XMission.

Hosted Email customers will have access to a dynamic, browser-based application with increased storage capacity, and have the ability to upgrade to enhanced email and collaboration packages. These upgraded packages feature calendar synchronization, document sharing, task management, and integration with third-party and mobile phone applications such as Windows Mobile & iPhone.
Because it works independently of operating systems, XMission's new Hosted Email service works equally well on Windows, Mac, or Linux.
XMission will provide customers with an online tool that guides them through the migration process. Sales and support staff will also offer additional phone and email assistance to customers as they transition to Zimbra.
