Visiting Angels in Canton, OH takes fight against Alzheimer's disease seriously. They play an active role in educating their community and supporting the fight for a cure.

Visiting Angels, a non-medical in-home care agency, has partnered with the Alzheimer's Foundation of America to host the National Memory Screening Day scheduled for November 18th, 2008.

"We partnered up with the AFA last year and found it to be an invaluable service to our community," said Sandra Williams, owner and President of the Canton agency. "People came from all over the area. They are very scared of this disease and have lots of questions. Many of them just want to discuss their conerns." Williams continues.

The test only takes 5-10 minutes and is not to be considered a diagnosis but a tool that can be discussed in greater detail with your physician. In addition to the memory screening, blood pressure reading will be offered as well as valuable information on Alzheimer's and other smart aging techniques and lite refreshments.

The event will start at 10AM and tests will be given on a first come first serve basis until 3PM on November 18th, 2008 at 5888 Fulton Dr. NW, Canton, OH 44718. For additional information please call 330-497-5995.
