Miami, FL (PRWEB) September 30, 2008
The Playwright, South Beach's only genuine Irish dining, drinking, and party destination, today announced a new live music series that kicks off October 9, 2008 and continues every Thursday in October. The series will feature The Bushmen, Miami's Hottest Cover Band, which performs a broad range of high-energy music spanning three decades and genres like Rock, Soul, Funk, and Blues.
The Playwright opened on June 26, 2000, followed in the wake of two sister operations in the North East, Stamford and Hamden, CT. The fourth location in New Haven, CT opened its doors in 2001. For the last eight years The Playwright has provided South Beach's biggest St. Patrick's Day celebration, and will now offer a little taste of this celebration and party atmosphere kicking off Thursdays.
This new entertainment series brings a much needed infusion of live Rock, Blues, and Soul to South Beach, which primarily features Latin music. The pub will also feature a DJ and dancing on Friday and Saturday nights, and presents a sophisticated 'watering hole' for locals and tourists alike looking for an alternative to the overpriced bars and clubs in the area.
About the Playwright:
The Playwright is South Beach's only genuine Irish pup, and is a remarkable collection of authentic, warm and inviting Irish decor. The pub boasts a literary theme, as seen by the photos of many famous and infamous Irish playwrights. The interior is inspired by pubs the owners, brothers Eamon, Richard and Dennis, grew up seeing on the streets of their native County Kilkenny in the South Eastern corner of Ireland.
