The human capital research firm Morehead Associates announced that Larry Tilson has been named president, effective August 1, 2008. As president, his primary focus is service excellence and execution of Morehead's growth strategy. Sandy Welton, founder and former president, has assumed the role of chairman and chief executive officer.
Additionally, Morehead will grow from two to three regions, in order to better serve clients across the country. Scott Mondore has been named Regional President for the East Region. He will report directly to Tilson, along with Regional Presidents, Leo Brajkovich, Ph.D., of the West Region and Rod Wilkes, of the Central Region.
"I am excited to take on this important challenge. Today's healthcare industry faces rising costs, turnover and a shortage of nurses. These issues can be positively impacted by how well human capital is handled. That is where we come in," said Tilson.
"With Larry at the helm, Morehead will continue to serve the changing needs of our clients. His experience and deep industry knowledge provide valuable insights in helping clients reduce the uncertainty of managing human capital with leading products and proven approaches," said Welton.
Tilson joined Morehead in 2001 as vice president of marketing. Over the past seven years, he has been increasingly responsible for research and development, marketing and client services. Originally from the Asheville, N.C. area, he earned his M.B.A from Wake Forest University.
