The America Marketing Association of South Florida, the leader in networking for marketing professionals, announced their upcoming marketing liability event featuring five top South Florida lawyers discussing liabilities in marketing today. The event will take place October 23rd, from 6pm to 8pm at Bogart's Bar & Grille located in the Muvico Palace 20 Theatre in Boca Raton. The experts will be featured in roundtable discussions on topics including Social Media, Mobile Marketing, Can-Spam, and Telemarketing & Mail.
The President of the South Florida AMA, Mande White will lead the highly interactive event where attendees will learn vital information from legal pros for the South Florida Business Community. Each attorney will spend time with the group reviewing best practices and legal issues that are affecting the industry today.

About the Presenters
David G. Bates, GunsterYoakley: David is a shareholder with GunsterYoakley. He is a former chairman of the firm's Corporate Practice Group and the current chairman of the firm's Technology and Emerging Companies Practice Group. He has written numerous articles about the Internet, venture capital and emerging companies, and earned an MBA in addition to his law degree. He has given numerous seminars and presentations on technology and corporate law to a variety of groups in Florida. Mr. Bates regularly counsels clients in business law, mergers and acquisitions, technology law, venture capital, licensing and distribution and corporate finance and securities. Ira Paur, Cohen Silverman Rowan LLP: For almost 40 years, Ira's practice has centered on the advertising and marketing laws and overall regulatory environment of consumer goods and services. For approximately two-thirds of that time he practiced in the law departments of Block Drug Company, Schering-Plough, and Revlon, Inc. He is currently of counsel to the law firm of Cohen Silverman Rowan LLP that specializes in promotion marketing law with particular emphasis on games of skill (contests) and games of chance (sweepstakes). Ira earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Hunter College (Bronx campus) of the City University of New York in 1965, a Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 1968 and a Master of Laws (Trade Regulation) from New York University School of Law in 1974.
Luis Salazar, Greenberg Traurig: Described as one of South Florida's "legal elite" by Miami's Daily Business Review, Luis is a founding member of Greenberg Traurig's Data Privacy and Security Law Taskforce. He advises clients on best corporate privacy practices, developing and implementing data-retention policies, international and intercorporate date transfers, permission-based marketing, mobile marketing, and compliance with data privacy laws and regulations. He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional and a Certified Email Marketing Professional. Luis is one of the most widely published authors in the areas of data privacy and security law.
Ken Schwartz, Visionamics: Ken has spent the last ten years involved in taking startup Internet and data companies with enabling technologies from the incubation stage to profitability. Inherent in each of the ventures were regulatory issues involving either the use of data or communication with the end user, requiring procedural guidelines for delivery of product and robust compliance organizations. Currently Ken serves as CEO and a Member of the Board of Directors of Visionamics, a leading interactive email marketing company. Ken earned his Juris Doctorate from the University Of Miami School Of Law in 1991, and his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Washington University (St. Louis, Missouri) in 1988.
