Getting Past Your Past Announces First Seminar of 2008

GPYP announces a combined Get Past Your Past and Get Past Your Breakup seminar on March 8, 2008 in New York City.

New York, NY (PRWEB) January 3, 2008 -- It is the New Year and everyone wants to change and change permanently. To help that cause, Get Past Your Past (GPYP) announced today that it is again offering seminars in New York and Boston beginning with the March 8th class in Manhattan. It's first offering will combine the popular Getting Past Your Past class concepts with Getting Past Your Breakup.

GPYP is a motivational program for people who want to become happier, healthier and successful but feel repressed by their past or stuck in old behaviors and patterns that keep them from fulfilling their dreams. Founded by Susan Elliott in 2005, an author, therapist, grief counselor, motivational speaker, seminar leader and attorney, GPYP continues to grow and attract new students.

Many of my students are people coming off a bad breakup, or in a place in their lives where they're just frustrated that things aren't happening for them. They are afraid they are stuck there. My message is that if I can change my entire life after a horrible breakup, anyone can!
Elliott started the GPYP blog at http://GettingPastYourPast.wordpress.com at the end of 2006. A few weeks later she penned a post called "After the Breakup" and the readership took off from several readers a day to hundreds and then thousands. Continuing to write more about breakups, the focus of GPYP has shifted to helping people work through a tough breakup to transform their lives. GPYP now has a blog, a website, an email list and a newsletter.

The seminars always receive rave reviews, but Elliott is simply focused on helping others transform their lives. She explains, "Many of my students are people coming off a bad breakup, or in a place in their lives where they're just frustrated that things aren't happening for them. They are afraid they are stuck there. My message is that if I can change my entire life after a horrible breakup, anyone can!" She tries to give them hope when they have none and see that life is what you make it no matter where you've been.

Elliott is writing "Phoenix Rising: How To Turn A Devastating Breakup Into The Best Thing That Ever Happened To You," as well as an accompanying book to Getting Past Your Past and an autobiography.
