Runaway Winner in the 2008 GPL Annual Poker League

The 2008 honour of being called the GPL champion went to Ron (nietgek) Schut from Holland after he beat more than 50,000 other players to win by over 3500 points.

Shoreham, Sussex, UK (PRWEB) January 13, 2008 -- Ron Schut is celebrating his momentous achievement by being over €2000 richer and also by playing in some sponsored live events this year.

Ron beat Lord Jasper who made a credible 2nd place. The top 100 players in the annual league all won a cash prize, as do the top 50 every month. Ron also picked up another €500 from a 2nd place finish in the December league, to top off his many top 3 places in the monthly leagues in 2007.
