Clash of the Artists' Voting Begins

Voting for our annual international artist competitions begins. Vote for your favorites in Fashion, Film, Live Music, Visual Arts, DJs, and our new category Creative. Everyone can vote once in each category.

New York, NY (Bluehost/PRWEB ) January 17, 2008 -- For the past two months, emerging artists have been sending Art For Progress (AFP) their best, and now it's time for the virtual art community to do its part. AFP's annual arts competition, Clash of the Artists, is the first of its kind, where artists in six categories compete in an interactive on-line environment. People from New York to Japan can visit artforprogress.org and vote for their favorites while viewing short films, listening to music, and seeing new work from emerging artists and fashion designers. The top three artists in each category will compete on Saturday, March 15th at a live finals event in New York City.

In 2007, over 5,000 people voted on-line, and over 300 people attended the memorable live event. The five-week voting period begins January 15th and runs through February 20th.

Cast your vote at artforprogress.org!

Based in New York City, AFP seeks to increase the visibility of talented artists, and to provide arts education in under-served schools and communities. Proceeds from Clash of the Artists will help support AFP's growing arts education program.

To cast your vote and for more information on Art For Progress, go to www.artforprogress.org. AFP is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
