US Safety & Security (USSS) Offers New Safety Courses and Disaster Management Guides for Creating Safe Workplaces

US Safety & Security, rapidly growing leader in the security field, launches a new web site featuring their suite of protective services, security courses and disaster preparedness guides for businesses.

(PRWEB) October 8, 2008 -- In a time of ever-growing security concerns, US Safety & Security, LLC has launched a new web site featuring two important new safety guides available for purchase at http://www.usss.us. The guides help employees and managers create and support safe workplaces.

The Employee Quick Guide to Disaster Preparedness assists employees in preparing for and responding to emergency situations including medical, fire, chemical/biological, power failure, severe weather, bomb threats and building evacuation.

The Manager's Quick Guide to Disaster Preparedness is a compilation of suggested procedures and techniques, customizable and designed to assist managers in understanding their role in planning for and/or responding to an emergency including most common disasters. The guide focuses on a number of fundamental issues related to disaster preparedness and emergency response and is applicable to both managers and supervisors.

Both guides offer succinct, easy to understand, sensible guidelines for all employees and managers and are ideal for large and small businesses, public and private. Topics range from "Timeline to Prepare for a Disaster" to medical emergency, fire, smoke and power failure responses.

In addition, a Workplace Violence and Early Detection of Threatening People course has been developed by USSS. Attendees will learn about the various types of workplace violence, threat assessments, employer preventive measures, and identifying problem employees or possible risk factors.

USSS offers a suite of protective, damage and security assessment services to companies with possible exposure to natural disasters (Carolinas, Florida, LA, TX specifically). In the past, USSS has provided assistance to a variety of clients including a major telecom company, a national accounting and sports franchise company among others. They have provided security for U2 and Mary J. Blige for their first ever "video shoot" together in Mexico City as well as Executive Protection for many political figures - from Barak Obama to Gov. Mitt Romney to the Prime Minister of Kurdistan.

USSS President Joe Funk, addressed the Potomac Employers' Roundtable, March 7, 2006 on the topic of Violence and Workplace Security. He also spoke before the Philadelphia Bar Association on the same topic and presented to the Bar Association of the District of Columbia, Labor and Employment Committee, on May 2, 2006. Mr. Funk's presentation discussed what employers can do to improve the safety and security of their employees, create a safe workplace and reduce liability.
