This is the second annual Oracle Excellence Awards contest. The fact that we received so many submissions demonstrates accelerated Oracle Fusion Middleware adoption in our Oracle application customer base
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) October 6, 2008
EMS- Intelligent Chaos is honored to be selected as Oracle's 2008 recipient of "The SOA Integration Solution" award presented at the Oracle North America Excellence Award ceremony at Oracle OpenWorld last night. The Oracle Excellence Awards recognizes organizations for innovative deployments of Oracle Fusion Middleware.
The award acknowledges an Oracle partner that has shown exemplary demonstration of their Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) expertise through a customized and unique solution enabling measured customer return on investment and clear user satisfaction. Excellence Awards were given to 18 clients and leading partners in several categories for SOA solutions and best practices delivered in fiscal 2008.
EMS-Intelligent Chaos, a Certified Partner in the Oracle® PartnerNetwork, has won this excellence award two years in a row and chose to highlight one of their Higher Education clients in their nomination for the Excellence Award. The project provided a complete and scalable solution enabling the client to leverage Oracle's eBusiness suite enterprise resource planning platform utilizing SOA Suite. West Virginia University (WVU) was awarded the excellence award for the implementation of the SOA-based Leave Request System (LRS), performed under the direction of Kate Hazen, Executive Director of technology for WVU.
"The Leave Request System (LRS) is just the tip of the iceberg," says Kate Hazen, WVU's Executive Director of Technology. Hazen says that "(w)ith this project, we have put in place the necessary infrastructure to build new solutions across the entire University, increasing user satisfaction and reducing costs over the long run. We're happy to have partnered with EMS-IC on this effort, and look forward to working together on our next effort."
WVU's SOA-based solution is an Adobe Flex-based front-end developed to allow submission and administration of leave requests. Custom e-Business Suite functions are exposed as web services, and deployed to Oracle's SOA Suite. BPEL workflows are used to handle sophisticated processes that otherwise would have proven to be a challenge to orchestrate. Additionally, Oracle's Web Services Manager is used to handle security, ensuring a scalable, auditable solution.
"This is the second annual Oracle Excellence Awards contest. The fact that we received so many submissions demonstrates accelerated Oracle Fusion Middleware adoption in our Oracle application customer base," said Amit Zavery, vice president, Oracle Fusion Middleware. "We're pleased to see that more customers and implementation partners are adopting Oracle Fusion Middleware to extend their Oracle Application investments."
"As a recipient of the Excellence Award this year EMS-Intelligent Chaos has developed and demonstrated a repeatable and reusable library of solutions that organizations are very excited about. It allows them to get started quicker by using our pre-built SOA solutions right out of the box. This will allow our clients the ability to personalize their business processes with any of our pre-built SOA solutions." said Elaine C. Myrback, President & CEO of EMS Consulting - Intelligent Chaos.
