On Monday, October 6, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Smith, along with industry pioneer David Kain, will lead the pre-conference interactive session, Internet Automotive Sales 101, designed specifically for attendees who are new to using the Internet for automotive sales. This "newbie" training is a bonus session to provide an introduction to Internet and technology based sales. Smith will summarize the history of IT and automotive retail and bring participants up to the present. Kain will then discuss the present state of IT and automotive retail and where it will be in the future.
As a part of the "Internet Sales Track," on Tuesday, October 7, 2008, from 1:30 pm to 2:45 pm, Smith will also lead the session "Chat Your Way to Automotive Sales." Participants of this hands-on presentation will learn how to use live chat to engage website visitors and increase sales and customer service. Smith will provide detailed information to help participants: connect with visitors in real-time, enhance their sales system and use chat to increase website conversions. In addition to learning how to use chat to increase vehicle sales, participants will learn how to use chat to increase parts and service sales and profits.
