Madrid, Spain (PRWEB) October 2, 2008
Red Karaoke, the social singing network, has renovated its website to make it even more attractive by introducing new tools for music lovers. New functionalities include the possibility of uploading their own video perfomances and recordings to the new Red Karaoke TV video section or creating their blogs for promoting voices both inside and outside this music social community.
The goal of the new design is to help all users, who range from amateur singers and professional artists to visitors who just want to listen, to show off their potential to the rest of the world, thus creating a large community based on music and shared passion for song.
So, Red Karaoke's new homepage portrays a major change, especially in terms of focus. Videos will be the main feature showcased at the forefront, and they will be selected by network's users through a voting system that will take into account attractiveness, quality of voice, or just simply, the level of entertainment. This way, the content of the website becomes even more dynamic and changes constantly, making it much more appealing to users. Red Karaoke's new presence represents the natural evolution of the online singing tool to focus on user-generated content, rewarding the more creative and participative users with special coverage of their tracks, and offering visitors the chance to hear new voices.
At the same time, Red Karaoke which has become a meeting point for people interested in singing or listening to new talent will also provide a platform for casting auditions, advice and hints on improving singing technique.
According to Miguel A. Díez Ferreira, CEO of Red Karaoke, "the objective of the new design is to provide special coverage of the excellent content generated by our users. Now this material is highlighted on the homepage. We want Red Karaoke to be the best promotional space for launching new talents."
A music social network
This vertical music-based social network promotes user interaction and allows people with similar tastes to get to know each other. Until now, Red Karaoke focused mainly on online singing and sharing, registering and hosting user song recordings, both in audio and video, in real time via a webcam and microphone. Users got to know each other through their profiles, "Fan and Favourites" lists, by private messaging as well as by suggesting new karaoke tunes and content on the forum.
According to Díez Ferreira, "over the the last few months we have been asking our users how they would like Red Karaoke to be. The new design is the response to our commitment to mantaining an open dialogue with our community of users. Consequently, as of today, the 215,000 members registered on Red Karaoke will be able to upload their own videos, recorded and edited offline, including performances, concerts, parties and even videoclips, as well as continuing to register online recordings, like they have been doing up until now. In the same way, they will now have the opportunity of creating their own blogs linked to their user profiles, completely free of charge."
Also, thanks to its "plug & sing" technology, users only have to plug a microphone into their PCs to start their audio or video recording, and are able to choose from a large catalogue of more than 17,500 free karaoke songs by all types of artists.
