SetFocus, a leading provider of .NET, SQL Server, Business Intelligence and SharePoint 2007 training, is proud to announce and welcome back to its training staff, Wayne Wilkerson, a distinguished software engineer and lecturer. This new addition of Wilkerson emphasizes SetFocus' commitment to continuing the growth and expertise of its training staff operations and Advisory Board.
Most recently, Wilkerson worked with NASA and the Missile Defense Agency where, as IT Architect, he was instrumental in the migration of the NASA Launch Services legacy engineering application to VS2005, ASP 2.0 and SQL2005. While at the Kennedy Space Center, Wilkerson designed, developed and deployed a web-based dashboard application to integrate mission status information which was used to determine the launch readiness and report on overall mission status. He also was the technical lead for the NASA Expendable Launch Vehicle Information Systems (ELVIS) where applications were mission-oriented and covered all phases of launch support, including engineering, financials and management.
Prior to working with NASA, Wilkerson served as Senior IT Specialist and Archiect at IBM on the Enterprise Services for Microsoft Technologies team. During his tenure, he developed the reference infrastructure blueprint for a .NET 3-tier web model for a major financial services company.
Throughout his 25-year career, Wilkerson worked with, and consulted for, a variety of Fortune 500 companies, both domestically and internationally, in such diverse industries as financial services, insurance, chemical, energy, gaming and high tech. In addition to his Microsoft certifications in MCT, MCSE I, MCDBA (SQL 2000 & 2005) MCSD .Net, MCP SB, MCSA and MCAD.Net, Wilkerson also achieved certification as an Oracle9i Database Administrator Certified Associate.
Jonathan Lefkowitz, SetFocus President said, "We are pleased to have Wayne back as an integral part of our teaching staff. As a past SetFocus instructor, Wayne was highly regarded and received among the highest average evaluation scores in SetFocus history. His expertise in .NET framework, framework languages, database access and enterprise services, combined with his ability to connect and communicate, will ensure that our students get the best possible training experience.
Wilkerson is scheduled to begin teaching the .NET and SQL Master's Program in October. "I'm looking forward to teaching again." said Wilkerson. "The education that students get at SetFocus is far beyond what I've seen at any other school. They are not just going through the course. It's the combination of building the projects, the teamwork and collaboration that give students a real sense for the work and the experience to be able to go out into the workforce."
