Orlando-Based InCharge Education Foundation Named "Not-for-Profit Organization of the Year"

InCharge® Education Foundation (ICEF) has been recognized as one of the country's leaders in creating innovative and quality financial literacy programs.

This recognition is a tribute to the diligence of a group of hard-working professionals who are committed to helping to raise the level of financial literacy in the United States. Our Foundation is proud of this accomplishment and will use it to re-energize our efforts to serve even more Americans in the days and years to come.

At a time when personal finance education is more important than ever before, InCharge Education Foundation (ICEF) has been recognized as one of the country's leaders in creating innovative and quality financial literacy programs. Selected as "Not-for-Profit Organization of the Year," the award was presented by the Institute for Financial Literacy at its 2008 Annual Conference. The recognition was given to ICEF on September 10th in Atlanta as part of the Institute's "EIFLE" Awards (Excellence in Financial Literacy Education).

Organizations were judged on, among other criteria, their support for the advancement of financial literacy education, their innovative approaches to programming, and an analysis of measurable results in the communities they serve. ICEF is actively involved with providing bankruptcy education publishing personal finance guides, producing a quarterly magazine for military service men and women, and offering customized workshops and courses.

In accepting the award, Alberto Duarte, ICEF's president and CEO, said, "This recognition is a tribute to the diligence of a group of hard-working professionals who are committed to helping to raise the level of financial literacy in the United States. Our Foundation is proud of this accomplishment and will use it to re-energize our efforts to serve even more Americans in the days and years to come."
