Virgin Mobile Australia has been given a pat on the back by Sydney-based Bean Media Group, publishers of Australia's Best Magazine, after Zoe Joyce, Handset Manager for the company, was featured in an interview for the September 2008-released publication.

When we started-up in 2000, Virgin Mobile Australia was a 50/50 partnership between Virgin and Optus. In 2006 they became a wholly owned subsidiary of Optus and subsequently merged with SIMplus, another Optus subsidiary.
They now have a long-term license agreement for the Virgin brand and maintain a very strong relationship with the global Virgin 'family'. They continue to manage their customers in a distinctly Virgin way and seven years on, they have revolutionised the Australian market with their cheeky, fun and fair attitude.
In August 2007 the same people that brought you simple, great mobile deals shook up the market once again with the launch of Virgin Broadband. Believing that the market was way too complicated and confusing, and Australians had been ripped off for way too long Virgin Broadband was born.
