Lexington, KY (PRWEB) October 6, 2008
The Photizo Group announces that in response to strong company growth, it is adding top-notch industry veterans and a second US location in Boise, Idaho.
Imaging industry pros Jim Lyons and Matt Zimmer have joined the company, bringing over fifty years' experience to the expanding Photizo line up. Lyons joins Photizo as Senior Consultant, while Matt Zimmer takes on the responsibilities of Vice President of Client Services. In addition, Terri Crowley is joining the Photizo Group as Project Manager and Scott Hornbuckle as Market Analyst.
"Our growth has been remarkable, and with the addition of Jim, Matt, Scott, and Terri, as well as our second location, we are even better positioned to deliver what our clients need," said Ed Crowley, founder and president of the Photizo Group. "The need for solid MPS research has attracted the attention of big names in the printing industry. With these staff additions, we have added some big names of our own to our team of professionals. Our customers will benefit from the depth of knowledge and caliber of service that is available from Photizo Group."
Jim Lyons is a well-known veteran of the imaging and printing industry. He spent nearly 25 years with Hewlett-Packard, primarily in the imaging business in senior marketing and management roles. His monthly column for The Hard Copy Observer and his blog at http://jimlyonsobservations.blogspot.com offer valuable insights and practical ideas on the constantly changing document industry. At Photizo, his responsibilities will include developing content in the Managed Print Services space in the areas of infrastructure providers, general market trends, and software development.
"The Photizo Group is an established up-and-comer in printing and imaging research and consulting. Photizo has identified under-served areas in the imaging and printing field, such as Managed Print Services, and helping clients navigate in this new territory is an exciting opportunity," said Lyons. "More than anything, Photizo's willingness to take a customer-eye view is what I find most attractive and surprisingly unique. Identifying and satisfying real customer needs through excellence in implementation will dictate success or failure, and Photizo gets this."
Matt Zimmer has 23 years in the imaging industry with IBM and Lexmark. His experience includes electrophotographic printing, inkjet and impact printing in both consumer and business markets. Zimmer comes to Photizo with a rich background that draws on positions in marketing, development, engineering, strategy, planning and product delivery. He holds a B.S. degree in physics and polymer science from Pennsylvania State University. At Photizo, he will be responsible for developing client relationships and ensuring the Photizo Group is delivering the right products and services to meet client needs.
"As MPS grows as a business trend, I look forward to being part of the Photizo team at the forefront of this important new area," said Zimmer. "This is an opportunity to work with all sides of the MPS equation, from vendors to the sales channel and with the end user companies."
As a market analyst, Scott Hornbuckle is responsible for providing proactive research and analysis, and collaborating with the consulting team to develop value-adding insights and recommendations. He is the author of the Output Industry Investor Guide, the only publication giving a comprehensive view of the output industry for today's investors. Mr. Hornbuckle is a recent graduate of the University of Kentucky and holds a B.S. degree in accounting as well as a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in finance. Mr. Hornbuckle stated, "This is a great opportunity to apply my education in an exciting and challenging industry."
Terri Crowley joins the Lexington, Ky-based team as Project Manager for the Photizo Group. In this role, she will bring proven skills to extend support for client projects and marketing programs. In addition she will be responsible for launching the firm's first Managed Print Services conference in April 2009. Crowley is a graduate of Midway College with a B.A. degree in human resources management. She has been involved in project coordination and data management for over twenty years. "I'm excited about the opportunity to join this rapid growth organization, and to add my skills to the team," she noted.
