President and Principal of lumière, Matthew Nuss, says inspiration for the hotel was born from visits to some of the best travel destinations in the world.

The property’s 30 rooms offer guests everything from studio suites to three and four bedroom penthouses makes lumière the most desirable Telluride hotel this winter ski season. Also available is a 7,500 square foot five bedroom home called “the tower at lumière.” Each unit is appointed with flat panel televisions featuring surround sound, gas fireplaces, Egyptian cotton sheets, L'Occitane natural bath and body products, oversized bath sheets and plush bath robes and slippers.

Low-flow water systems are installed in every unit and and lumière is commited to minimize paper, using alternative energy, and donating unused hotel items to local charities.
