Joe Dougherty Joins Elanex as General Manager for Italy

Elanex, Inc. today announces that Joe Dougherty, a translation and technology industry veteran, has joined as General Manager for Italy, expanding Elanex's European presence.

Elanex, Inc., a leader in language translation services and technology, today announces that Joe Dougherty, an established veteran of both the localization and technology industries, has joined the company as the General Manager of Elanex Italy. Joe will grow Elanex's Italian business practice and execute an aggressive expansion in Italy and Europe.

As a leader with two decades of experience in senior management roles in both the localization and technology industries, Joe Dougherty understands both the language issues that global-minded companies face and the technology they can use to overcome them. Most recently, Joe managed key international accounts for an Italian localization service provider and oversaw the development of innovative software for streamlining and automating the localization process. Prior to this Joe was a founding member of a London-based SaaS provider of innovative online solutions for the engineering and construction industries. Serving as Vice President of Technology, Joe ran their product management, software development and global operations teams. Earlier in his career, Joe spent ten years as a consultant in Accenture's technology division, providing technology-driven business solutions for customers in the US and Europe.

Joe is a dual American and British citizen. He was born in Philadelphia and has lived and worked for the last 15 years in England, France, Germany, Finland and Italy. He speaks native English and fluent Italian. Joe graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Lehigh University, and now lives in Rome with his wife and two daughters.
