Experienced DWI Attorney Joins Driver Law Firm

Rick Butler to practice DWI/DUI and Criminal Defense in Raleigh, Cary and Durham, NC

Durham, NC (PRWEB) October 8, 2008 -- The Driver Law firm is pleased to announce that Rick Butler has joined the firm as an associate. Mr. Butler will work in both the Cary and Durham offices representing clients in traffic matters and practicing criminal defense. The addition of Mr. Butler expands the firm's practice areas to include DWI/DUI and traffic offense representation.

"Competent traffic court representation is so important to our clients, because a conviction can often mean not only higher insurance rates, but sometimes even the loss of a driver's license," Butler said. "In the event of a DWI conviction, a client can serve jail time in addition to losing their driving privileges. If not handled properly, traffic and DWI charges can have disastrous results."

Rick Butler has been practicing law since 1987, with over 22 years of experience defending clients against traffic and DWI charges in the courtrooms of central North Carolina. He has represented clients charged with traffic tickets and DWI in Durham, Wake, Orange, Chatham, Person, Granville, and Franklin Counties. Mr. Butler will also practice in the areas of juvenile law, misdemeanor, and felony defense. "I am pleased to bring my more than two decades of experience to the Driver Law Firm and look forward to continuing to help clients who are charged with traffic and DWI offenses," Mr. Butler said.

The addition of Rick Butler complements the practice of the firm's founder, Michael Driver. "Rick's traffic and DWI practice will allow the Driver Law Firm to help many more clients. Rick's emphasis on traffic and DWI charges is a good fit with the practice I have developed, which concentrates on serious felony and misdemeanor offenses," Driver said.

The population growth experienced by the Research Triangle Park area has contributed to the increase in demand for criminal defense lawyers and attorneys who handle traffic offenses. To keep pace with client demand, the Driver Law Firm has not only added attorney Rick Butler but has also opened a second office located on Kildare Farm Road in Cary. "We are very excited to be able to help our clients with traffic and criminal charges and expand our service area," said Mr. Driver.
The Driver Law Firm is a full service traffic, DWI, and criminal defense law firm. Michael Driver has practiced since 1994 and represents clients charged with felony and misdemeanor charges. Mr. Driver practices in both State and Federal Court, representing clients charged with drug possession and drug trafficking, embezzlement and employee theft, domestic violence and assault, and shoplifting.

The Driver Law Firm has two convenient locations, 5011 South Park Drive, Suite 230, Durham NC 27713 (close to the Streets at Southpoint Mall); and 1135 Kildare Farm Road, Suite 200, Cary NC 27511. The attorneys at Driver Law Firm have a combined 36 years of experience helping clients who are facing difficult circumstances.
