1st National, Reserve a numismatic company located in Beaumont, Texas has completed its assessment of damages following Hurricane Ike. 1st National, Reserve resumed full operations Thursday, September 18, 2008, once electrical power and other services were restored to the area.

Beaumont, TX (Vocus/PRWEB ) October 7, 2008 -- 1st National, Reserve a numismatic company located in Beaumont, Texas, announced it has completed its assessment of damages following Hurricane Ike. Although no major damage was done, ceilings in some of the office areas collapsed from leaking water. The damage extended to carpets, desks and computers. Subsequently certain departments have temporarily moved operations to a new location while the repairs are being made.

During hurricane Ike, 1st National, Reserve Beaumont, Texas office lost electric and phone services for about a week. Spokesperson, Ryan Verde, said that a temporary disaster recovery facility was established with a limited scope on Wednesday, September 17, 2008, to reestablish contacts with clients and staff. 1st National, Reserve resumed full operations Thursday, September 18, 2008, once electrical power and other services were restored to the area.

Although the company experienced no major damage, various 1st National Reserve employees did suffer damages to their homes and property during Hurricane Ike. The damages included destroyed roofs, broken windows, fallen trees, and more, but regardless they were back to work once the evacuation orders were lifted. The wide scale damage in the Beaumont area hampered repairs to their office, but in spite of it, the 1st National Reserve family has continued providing services including processing of customer orders, taking orders and shipping.

"We are very pleased with the recovery progress that we have made," said Ryan Verde, 1st National Reserve’s spokesperson. "We have gone to great lengths to right-size this Company and implement our plan as quickly as possible to put our employees back to work and get back with our clients. Going forward, we will concentrate on improving our evacuation plans and recovery plans to make sure we are running as efficiently as possible. While the hurricane activity has caused some short-term disruption to our company operations, we do not expect them to be significant, nor continuing."

1st National Reserve provided needed assistance to two families that were greatly harmed by Hurricane Ike and helped the community of Crystal Beach, Texas by spearheading a drive for clothing, house hold appliances, toys and furniture.
