Gross, MD, FACOG, VP and Chief Medical Officer of LifeGuard Health announces the appointment of the founding medical directors for Omega Eye Health, a subsidiary of LifeGuard Health. Dr. Frank A. Bucci, Jr. and Dr. Thomas P. Kislan, are the initial members of Omega Eye Health's Medical Advisory Panel. The Medical Advisory Panel will be comprised of nationally prominent ophthalmologists and optometrists.

Dr. Frank A. Bucci, Jr., M.D is the founder and Medical Director of Bucci Laser Vision Institute and Ambulatory Surgery Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA. He is a fellowship-trained corneal, refractive and cataract specialist who completed a prestigious Lindstrom fellowship.

Omega Eye Health is honored to have Drs. Bucci and Kislan as our initial medical advisory panel members. By establishing these two doctors as strategic resources, we will be optimally equipped to formulate and provide the best omega-3 evidence based nutriceuticals in the eye health arena.

In 2007, Dr. Bucci received the "Achievement Award" from the American Academy of Ophthalmology for his outstanding contributions in the field of ophthalmology. He was recently voted by his peers as one of the top 50 ophthalmologists in the United States as published in Cataract and Refractive Surgery Today (2007).

Dr. Thomas P. Kislan, O.D. is the founder and Medical Director of Stroudsburg Eye Specialists, Hazleton Eye Specialists and Dry Eye Clinic of Northeastern Pennsylvania. These practices are large multi-disciplinary eye care facilities which provide medical eye care for the treatment and management of ocular diseases including; cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye disease, diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.

Dr. Kislan is a prominent lecturer and speaks nationally on Dry Eye Disease, Glaucoma, Ophthalmic use of Omega-3 Fatty Acids and the management of Refractive Surgery. Dr. Kislan participates in clinical research which has been published in many peer-reviewed journals.
