Seattle, Washington (PRWEB) October 9, 2008
iCopyright, Inc., has been named the national winner of the 2008 FundingPost Pitching Across America competition sponsored by Wolf Block. More than 300 early-stage companies competed to be named the Top Emerging Company in their respective states. After selecting the top 50 winners, Washington State's iCopyright, Inc., was voted the national winner.
The entrants were evaluated on a scale of 1 to 10 by more than 130 venture investors, according to the professionalism of the written summary, current stage of development, business model, competitive advantage, market need, feasibility of success, and other criteria. As the winner, iCopyright will be featured on FundingPost.com and will present at the Perfect Venture Conference in New York City on November 3-4.
"It is an honor to be selected FundingPost's Top Emerging Company in America," said Mike O'Donnell, Founder & CEO of iCopyright. "In an economic climate where investors are skittish and limiting their investments to the most promising deals, this recognition gives iCopyright a leg up. Meeting the stringent requirements for venture capital validates many years of hard work and should help us secure the next round of financing."
"We are thrilled to have such an innovative company as the winner of this year's Pitching Across America competition," said Joe Rubin, Director, FundingPost. "They have a great product and a great team. We expect to hear lots of success stories and good news coming out of iCopyright."
