The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a professional association and think tank advancing the science of strategic talent management, has announced a partnership with TAPFIN Process Solutions, a division of COMSYS (CITP) to develop a new online research practice area and major survey research focused on Integrated Resource Fulfillment.

As the founder and director of this research practice area, TAPFIN will collaborate with HCI to develop research, education, discussion, and networking tools around this topic. The research practice area will examine the challenges businesses face when sourcing and managing human capital, particularly with respect to maintaining the right workforce balance between direct and contingent labor, recruiting top company talent, juggling multiple vendors, and standardizing disparate processes across the enterprise.

"When we began developing HCI's first online research practice area, we sought a relevant talent management topic that is key to business growth, and a sponsor that is top in its class," said Jim Vergura, HCI Senior Researcher. "In TAPFIN, we were fortunate to find an industry leader in the area of resource fulfillment. HCI is pleased to partner with them to bring important research findings and best practices to talent leaders, and to promote continued discussion and exploration of this topic."

"At TAPFIN, we take a holistic approach to human capital management, examining all workers and vendors across an organization--direct, contingent or project-based," said Kip Wright, president of TAPFIN. "Partnering with HCI to develop this research practice area is directly in line with our strategy and service offerings, and we look forward to developing targeted research in this emerging area of workforce management."

The research practice area will be housed through HCI's on-line portal at http://www.humancapitalinstitute.org. Each research practice area is organized into easy-access, searchable sub-topics. Talent leaders may access the Integrated Resource Fulfillment portal at http://www.humancapitalinstitute.org/hci/rpa_tracks_integrated_resource_fulfillment.guid .
