Jobing.com announced that it has partnered with the Tampa Chapter of NFL Alumni to provide workshops and professional development for retiring players who are transitioning into the workforce.

Jobing.com, a leading provider of locally-focused recruitment and employment solutions, announced that it has partnered with the Tampa Chapter of NFL Alumni to provide workshops and professional development for retiring players who are transitioning into the workforce.

"While many retired players struggle with post-career benefits and career transition, the various workshops Jobing.com is offering area alumni will help make at least one of these roads easier to travel for this group of proud men," said Tim Watson, President of the NFL Alumni Tampa Chapter.

"We are thrilled to partner with the NFL Alumni to help retiring players prepare for their second career in the workforce," said Jobing.com Community Relations Manager Angela Rosario. "This unique collaboration will provide valuable information for these players, especially in today's economy."

Under the new partnership, Jobing.com will provide a series of workshops for players that include such topics as resume writing and successful interviews; the workshops begin this month and will run through the end of the year, culminating at the 9th Annual Player Networking Eventâ„¢ (PNE) at the Super Bowl, the only NFL Sanctioned Event designed to support active and former players transition into second careers. The PNE will take place at the University of South Florida's Marshall Student Center from 2:00 to 6:00pm on Saturday, January 31- one day prior to Super Bowl XLIII at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

"As a former NFL executive and the creator of the PNE, I am thrilled that NFL Alumni Tampa President Tim Watson had the vision to work with Jobing.com to assist former NFL players in their search for employment and meaningful second career opportunities," said Guy Troupe, CEO of Troupe21 & Associates. "I am equally pleased that Angela Rosario was willing to facilitate access to the plethora of resources offered by Jobing.com. The outcome of this partnership will undoubtedly yield results for all involved."

Troupe served the NFL as Director of Player Programs and Senior Director for Player and Employee Development prior to founding Troupe21 & Associates, a Texas-based human resources development company that specializes in providing customized and cost-effective products and services for athletic organizations, teams and corporations.

"During my years in the NFL I found the Player Programs to be an invaluable resource for the smooth transition I was able to make into corporate America," Watson said. "The connection I had with Guy Troupe (the director of NFL player development during my tenure in the league) helped in my transition and helped to make this deal possible. I am confident that the players in the NFL Alumni Tampa Chapter will be able to utilize the skills, resources and relationships facilitated by Jobing.com to network during the PNE and hopefully improve or enhance their post-career endeavors."
