New York, NY (PRWEB) October 14, 2008
KIDOS, a multiplatform desktop client designed for parents of children ages 3-7, announced today that the company has been selected to participate as an InSITE company.
InSITE is an entrepreneurial mentorship program that brings together the best and brightest students from Columbia and NYU Business and Law schools to support New York entrepreneurs in the development of their businesses and their pursuit of venture capital and angel investments. InSITE's mission is to accelerate technology start-ups through their early-stage development, transitioning them from their seed stage into being venture-funded companies.
Each semester, InSITE selects five companies to work with in-depth. InSITE fellows meet with these companies over three months, providing consulting services that include:
- Overall Business Review
- Business Plan and Exec Summary Analysis
- Business Model Analysis
- Pitch/Presentation enhancement and Story Practice
- Management Review & Recommendations
- Strategic Analysis (timing, competition, and alternatives)
- Deal Analyisis (including valuation potential)
In addition to company-related work, InSITE meetings are dedicated to training fellows, thereby reinforcing their skills as consultants and mentors. The culmination of the semester-long collaboration is the InSITE Pitch event, where the companies present their businesses to a select group of New York City's prominent Venture Capitalists and Angel Investors for potential investment opportunities.
"We are thrilled to have been selected by InSite and we are looking forward to working with our mentors," said David Van Osdol, president and founder of KIDOS. "InSITE has a history of choosing good businesses to work with, some whose products I use myself. I believe this is strong validation and that KIDOS is going to emerge from this process as a much stronger organization."
