The Association for Downloadable Media (ADM), which facilitates the monetization of episodic consumer-downloaded content, announced the appointment of Meredith Medland to Director of the Association.
ADM appointed Meredith based on her unique combined experience in goal management, accountability consulting, downloadable content creation, message training as well as her past association experience. Her background in the online advertising industry also provides the knowledge required for the ADM to serve its constituents in the areas of advertising and sponsorship support.
"The combination of her process management, downloadable content creation experience, and over fourteen years working in the Internet marketing and advertising sectors make Meredith an excellent choice for this position," says Chris MacDonald, Chairman of the Association for Downloadable Media.
ADM is committed to advancing its charter: creating a landscape favorable to the commercialization of episodic and portable media, and podcasting. The ADM's focus includes revenue generation from advertising and sponsorships of audio and video podcasts, (aka vidcasts, or vlogs), and other digital content distributed via RSS, peer-to-peer, mobile devices, downloads from Web sites and new, emerging platforms.
Meredith's responsibility will include supporting, tracking and reporting on mission-critical association projects to member constituents. ADM is a volunteer-run trade association with projects organized through its committee structure.
Her initial priorities include managing advertising effectiveness research, educating the market about the value of downloadable media, and continuing to support the association's membership growth.
