Commissioned by Hanley Wood and conducted by global research firm Harris Interactive, M² examined 12 information sources to learn which options are most valued by builders, architects, remodelers, and distributors at each stage of the process.

The study, just released in July, illustrates what's of importance when planning your media and marketing strategy to reach the builder audience. Some findings include:

  • A majority of respondents say their business is on par with or better than last year.
  • Most anticipate their company's financial conditions to improvements in seven to 18 months.
  • Trade magazines remain their most important resource overall.
  • Trade Web sites, however, capture 25% more time.
