Liz Lange, designer of Liz Lange Maternity, is scheduled to speak at the third annual NY Xpo for Business as the Crain's 13th Annual Small Business Awards Breakfast keynote speaker, kicking off the event at 7:30 a.m. in the River Pavilion of the Jacob Javits Convention Center.

The Xpo is slated for Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center with the show floor open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The NY Xpo for Business is expected to draw 600 exhibitors, and over 15,000 tri-state area business, community and political leaders.

"We are thrilled to have Liz Lange, a creative inspiration in the business world, speak at this event," said Marc Sherer, whose company, Event Management, is producing the show. "Lange is a perfect example of the careful thought and daring steps it takes to create a successful business."

Liz Lange has grown a business from an idea to an international success by single-handedly revolutionizing maternity style and society's perception of pregnant women. As owner and designer of her maternity line, she has pioneered the business starting with a small boutique and now operates three store locations and is featured in numerous retailers across the country. Her collection has been featured in Target, and she has collaborated with Nike on an active-wear maternity line and on a limited edition Liz Lange camera with Nikon. Lange has also been a monthly columnist for Prevention Magazine, providing tips on how to look and feel like a stylish mom-to-be during all nine months of pregnancy.

The 2008 NY Xpo for Business kicks off with the Crain's breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. where Lange will moderate a panel of Crain's 2008 Small Business Awards winners as they discuss what it takes to be successful as a small business owner in New York. Throughout the day, five educational disciplines will be offered that will include eight different tracks and over 30 sessions covering sales, marketing and advertising, business management, commercial real estate, human resources and more.

Attendance to the show floor, educational seminars and the "Regional Business After Hours" networking event are complimentary for attendees who pre-register at http://www.eventmanagement.org.
