Award-winning air ambulance company, AirMed International (http://www.airmed.com ), has announced it was chosen as the fixed-wing operator for the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic, consistently ranked as one of America's best hospitals. AirMed opened its fifth base of operations in Cleveland, Ohio to support the Cleveland Clinic operations.

AirMed opened its fifth base of operations in Cleveland, Ohio to support the Cleveland Clinic operations.

Two Beechjet 400 medical aircraft will be based at Cleveland's Burke Lakefront airport, and AirMed will manage all dispatch, flight and maintenance for the new fixed-wing component of the highly regarded Cleveland Clinic Critical Care Transport (CCT) program. AirMed's will also operate and serve the hospital's Organ Procurement Program teams. CCT currently operates helicopter and ground ambulance services staffed with teams of Cleveland Clinic medical professionals. CCT will maintain the clinical aspect of the new fixed-wing component and have long-range capabilities through AirMed's current fleet of medical jets.
