Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay launch website http://www.bbbsmb.org to improved user response.

Their new website is an example of how strategic planning and tactical design can lead to a positive online experience for all types of visitors.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay launched their new website, http://www.bbbsmb.org to improved user response. Developed by Verndale, the site redesign features a more intuitive interface, an updated design, and a sophisticated web content management solution. During the 60 days following website launch, users visited an average 56% more pages per visit, were spending 14% more time on the site, and were 29% less likely to leave the site immediately after entering, compared to the 60 days prior to launch. Results were obtained using Google Analytics web traffic analysis.

When entering the site, visitors are directed to three featured response items: Volunteer, Refer a Child, and Donate. These three offers allow users to easily volunteer as a Big Brother or Big Sister, refer a child in need of a mentor, and donate money to the organization quickly and easily online. The website also makes it easy for users to purchase tickets for events and find out what activities are happening in their local area.
