Impact Unlimited Wins Gold At 34th Annual Jasper Awards

Impact Unlimited, a leading provider of brand communications for events, exhibits, and meetings worldwide, took home three golds and one silver at the 34th Annual Jasper Awards on October 3, 2008.

Impact Unlimited, a leading provider of brand communications for events, exhibits, and meetings worldwide, took home three golds and one silver at the 34th Annual Jasper Awards on October 3, 2008. The awards dinner was hosted by the Jersey Shore Public Relations and Advertising Association (JSPRAA) and was held at the Robert Meyner Reception Center in Holmdel, N.J. Impact Unlimited earned gold in the Environmental Design and Special Events Planning categories, while clinching silver in the Excellence in Writing category.

"We had an excellent showing at the 2008 Jasper Awards," said Ken Payne, President of Impact Unlimited. "The diversity of our awards is representative of our dynamic and talented staff and is a tribute to our creative capabilities and services."

Impact won two gold Jasper Awards in the Environmental Design - Tradeshow Graphics/Display category and the Special Event Planning - Trade Show Planning category for their innovative program designed for EXHIBITOR2008. The program showcased Impact's ability to infuse creativity into every aspect of a trade show program. Beginning with pre-show e-blasts which tied into a show specific Web site, Impact created an integrated marketing program that took the negative and turned it into a positive by playing off the extremely small exhibit located way in the back of the convention center.

Impact' campaign included tactics like hotel room drop and check in cards that tied into the overall theme with tag lines such as "Big Card Small Booth," "Small Card Big Prizes" and "Big Ideas Big Payoff." Stuck in a small 10 x 10 space, Impact designed a very contemporary booth that rose to 12 feet in height with a seamless video wall that ran up the entire one side of the booth. The video wall presented selected shots from Impact's portfolio almost in 1:1 scale. This dramatic treatment of a video wall and imagery grabbed the attention of passersby as well as the judges.

In addition, Impact was awarded gold in the Special Event Planning - Seminar/Workshop category for its Fourth Annual Summer Symposium entitled Re:Think 2007. The theme, "Leading People, Leading Brands" provided a forum for clients to take a step back from the hectic day-to-day routine and brainstorm some big picture issues facing the event industry. The event also acted as a forum where a wide range of issues and opportunities in brand communications for events, exhibits and meetings were discussed. Re:Think 2007 featured presentations from renowned creative thinkers including Jack Trout, one of the pioneers of marketing positioning and author of Differentiate or Die as well as other landmark marketing books.

The symposium was also host to Impact's Annual Solutions and Technology Fair, which showcased a wide range of solutions to improve the effectiveness of convention and meetings as well as new technologies designed to enhance convention and meeting experiences.
Adding to the night's accolades, Impact took home the silver in the Excellence in Writing - Feature Story category for a bylined article by Impact's Vice President of Creative Services, Steve Mapes. Published in the January 2008 issue of Pharmaceutical Executive, the article entitled "Creating a Buzz on the Convention Floor" explored how using cutting-edge technologies can build an immersive brand experience for exhibits and conventions.

The Jersey Shore Public Relations & Advertising Association is the area's largest communications association, representing the advertising, graphic design, marketing and public relations professions. Through the Jasper Awards, the association recognizes the height of excellence in communications among New-Jersey based companies.

Gold Jasper Awards are presented for entries with the highest score in its category.
