World famous wedding planner experts and inventors of the online wedding planning aid Online Wedding Planning Tools weddingtools.com, Anette 'Pip' and Kenneth Lund, comment on the survey:
"We were aware of the fact, that a lot of brides do their own planning instead of paying for an expensive wedding planner, but this survey proves, that some of the brides go beyond what employers would find acceptable, when they ditch a workday or two in favour of planning their weddings. When you think of it, there's more than 4-5 million weddings world wide every year, so huge amounts of 'work' goes down the drain because of this," says wedding planner and bridal expert Anette 'Pip' Lund.
Wedding expert, Kenneth Lund adds: "The tendancy is seen perhaps even more clearly on the site statistics of WeddingTools. The majority of the 100.000+ daily site visitors are online, editing their wedding budget template, checking their to-do lists and handling their wedding guest lists during the work day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., so it seems that some brides are quite a bit more focused on their wedding, compared to their job."
The time spent doing online online wedding planning has been growing and growing. The classic romantic bride wants her wedding to be perfect, as she has been dreaming of it since she was a little girl. She's more than willing to spend time perfecting every single step of the process of planning her big day. Just 10-15 years ago, it was a matter of weeks -- now most of the classic-romantic brides spend more than a year, doing their wedding planning.
