Gull Lake View Golf Club & Resort announces the grand opening of the new Bedford Valley Clubhouse. Recently opened in August, 2008, this 8,500 sq ft facility stands as a new centerpiece for one of Michigan's most popular golf courses. The purpose of the new clubhouse and banquet facility is to better cater to the needs of Gull Lake View clients and residents.

From every room, the new clubhouse features incredible views of the Bedford Valley golf course--one of Michigan's most frequented championship sites. Offering two covered patios, a full kitchen and full bar, men's and women's locker rooms, and wireless internet, the clubhouse is fit for a diverse array of private events. With seating for up to 200 guests, the Bedford Valley Clubhouse offers a beautiful and spacious banquet facility on Gull Lake, perfect for receptions, holiday parties, business meetings, class reunions, graduations, and weddings.

The Bedford Valley Golf Course was built in 1965, designed by William Mitchell. Known locally as "The Big Course," this scenic 18-hole course was rated 4 stars and named one of 2007's "Best Places to Play" by Golf Digest. The course has been the host site for the Michigan Senior Open for the last 12 years, and in addition to many other Michigan state events, the course has also served as the chosen locale in for the NCAA D-III National Championship. And while it hosts more tournament rounds than any other golf course in Michigan, Bedford Valley is also a distinguished member of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program.

Bedford Valley is just one of 5 championship courses at Gull Lake View Golf Club & Resort. Gull Lake View is the largest and oldest golf resort in Michigan, located near Kalamazoo and Battle Creek. The resort's other award-winning courses include Gull Lake View East and West, and Stonehedge North and South--all rated 4 stars or higher by Golf Digest. This lakeview resort offers a variety of services including private and group golf lessons for juniors through professionals, catering for events at their 3 clubhouses, and community real estate on Gull Lake.

"We are thrilled to open the new clubhouse at Bedford Valley," says Jack Kosin, Gull Lake View's Director of Sales and Marketing. "A big part of the Gull Lake View experience is our commitment to providing the finest experience for Gull Lake View members, Battle Creek residents and golfers, and this new clubhouse will only add to those services. It's a wonderful facility and compliments our championship courses here at Gull Lake View very well."
