Infoglide Signs Contract With State of Washington to Provide Identity and Relationship Resolution Solution to Detect Workers' Compensation Fraud

Infoglide announced that it has signed a contract with the State of Washington's Department of Labor & Industries to provide an identity and relationship resolution solution for detecting workers' compensation fraud. The identity resolution solution will uncover employers who are cheating Washington's workers' compensation system.

Infoglide Software Corporation announced today that it has signed a contract with the State of Washington's Department of Labor & Industries to provide an identity and relationship resolution solution for detecting workers' compensation fraud. Infoglide's contract with the State of Washington is to provide a commercial off the shelf (COTS) identity and relationship resolution software solution and implementation services for the state's Field Audit Computer Technology (FACT) project.

Based on Infoglide's Identity Resolution Engine(tm) (IRE), the solution will apply data matching, similarity search, and non-obvious relationship discovery to uncover employers committing workers' compensation fraud. Employers typically defraud the system by intentionally using different identifying information to avoid paying appropriate workers' compensation insurance premiums or by providing false information to reduce the amount of premiums that they pay. For example, one company might go "out of business" after neglecting to pay their workers' compensation premiums and then open up as a "new business" using different identity data.

Identity Resolution Engine determines whether multiple records that appear to represent different individuals or entities are actually records for the same identity/entity. For example, are "Bob Thomson of ABC Plumbing at 311 Main Street" and "Robert Tompsen of ABC Services at 313 Maine Dr" two separate people/companies or are they in fact the same person/company that has purposely altered identifying attributes to appear to be different?
