Cablevision Systems Corp. (NYSE: CVC) today announced the addition of five new free high-definition channels to the iO TV digital cable lineup, which now offers customers 65 HD channels across Cablevision's entire service area. The new channels, MTV HD, VH1 HD, CMT HD, Fuse HD and NHL Network HD, present leading music, pop culture and sports programming and will launch over a three day period from October 14-16.
With 65 channels, Cablevision's high-definition programming line-up has nearly tripled since 2007, further demonstrating the widespread adoption of HDTV's superior format and reinforcing the value of digital cable service. Today, more than 1.25 million iO TV customers have at least one high-definition television and HD-enabled set-top box.

Cablevision continues to expand its high-definition line-up and expects to eventually offer all channels in the increasingly popular format as more programmers make content available and the company continues to tap the enormous capacity of its fiber optic network. A high-definition cable box and HD-ready television set are required to view high-definition programming and Cablevision does not charge extra for HD service.
With more than 2.7 million iO TV customers, 89 percent of Cablevision's cable customers are iO TV digital cable customers, the highest digital penetration in the nation. iO TV offers customers access to up to 390 channels, including 53 premium movie channels, 48 channels of commercial-free digital music, more than 4,000 titles available on demand at all times, an interactive programming guide, 65 high-definition programming services and uniquely valuable and relevant interactive television applications including News 12 Interactive.
