Disasters and emergencies have dramatic financial consequences that one should mitigate and be ready for. This aspect of disaster preparedness will be covered at a free class offered (1) at the Carpinteria Library on November 6th, 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm and (2) at the Montecito Library on December 4th, 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm.
This class is offered to the Carpinteria and Montecito Communities by Walpole & Co., LLP with the participation of the American Red Cross Santa Barbara Chapter. The class will cover the following topics: Protect your health, life, and property; mitigating possible damages and paying for it; planning for the possibility of job loss and disability; safeguarding important records; preparing loved ones to deal with a disaster if one can no longer care for them.
