Norwich University is proud to announce that the online Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program has been awarded national accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). This accreditation is an assurance that a nursing program meets national standards for quality and rigor in nursing education. Norwich University's MSN program, delivered online, has been designed to prepare nursing professionals for advanced leadership roles while they continue to work.

The MSN program, which can be completed in as little as 18 months, concentrates on nursing administration. This degree enables nurses to succeed in positions of leadership in a variety of hospital and healthcare organizations and settings. Such background ensures graduates a role in the development of healthcare delivery, the shaping of healthcare policy, and the future of the nursing profession.

"The nursing profession is facing critical challenges as we work to find solutions to the shortage of nurses at the bedside, in the community, in the classroom, and in leadership roles," states Annie Moore-Cox, MS, RN, Program Director for the MSN program. "Norwich University has a long history of providing exceptional nursing education which is responsive to the needs of both society and the profession. With this accreditation, we are proud to be joining some of the finest colleges and universities in the country offering quality graduate education in an affordable and convenient format."

The CCNE, an affiliate of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education, is a national accreditation agency that ensures the quality and integrity of baccalaureate and graduate education programs.
