Sendmail, Inc., the leading provider of reliable and secure email and messaging infrastructures, today announced the success of its recent Americas Customer Advisory Board meeting with Sendmail users from companies spanning industries including government, technology, defense contractors and integrators, financial, telecommunications and life sciences. The day-long event in Washington D.C. featured customer case studies, interactive discussions and presentations about Sendmail solutions.

"I've attended our customer events worldwide for years and, in my opinion, this was our most effective ever," said Glen D. Vondrick, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Sendmail. "Our customers validated our positioning about the importance of modernizing messaging infrastructures to significantly increase message delivery efficiencies and to see immediate cost reductions. The attendees remarked that, 'there is so much more depth and breadth of knowledge behind every presentation that one day was not enough!' When I hear comments like that, I know we've differentiated Sendmail and separated from the pack."

During the meeting, Sendmail presented an award to eHealth Ontario (formerly Smart Systems for Health Agency) to recognize eHealth Ontario's designation as the 100th sendmail open source mail transfer agent (MTA) customer to modernize their email infrastructure by migrating to the Sentrion® MP appliance.

In presenting the award to Helen Lefebvre, the Canadian company's ONE Mail Manager for Product Planning and Development, Glen D. Vondrick said, "We are very proud that customers such as eHealth Ontario, who were once part of Sendmail's open source community, have modernized their messaging infrastructures by moving from software MTA solutions to appliance-based message processor solutions. In today's challenging economic times, Sendmail is helping enterprises realize significant cost savings through reductions in their hardware/software support budgets, administrative overhead, power consumption and rack-space, while dramatically increasing message delivery efficiencies."
