The presenter; Professor Michael J. Tucker, C.P.A., J.D., LL.M., Ph.D., has an extensive background lecturing and authoring materials on tax analysis and other tax related topics. He is a Professor of Accounting in the ‘Graduate Tax Program’ at Quinnipiac University and has co-hosted the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Practice Report for many years. He also serves as tax director for the firm of T.M. Byxbee Company P.C. where he handles a wide variety of client transactions. Tucker’s analysis of tax issues is well known to CPAs, based on his ongoing role as expert commentator on “The CPA Report,” along with his frequent seminar presentations and publications.

In addition to discussing recent changes in tax legislation, Tucker will identify loopholes to be wary of and suggest strategic actions that can be taken between now and the end-of-the year to potentially minimize clients’ tax liabilities and increase staff efficiencies.

Course attendees are eligible to receive one Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit after attendance is verified. The fast-paced, one-time-only course will be offered on Monday, October 20, 2008 at 11 a.m. Pacific Time 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Work experience in tax planning or tax compliance is advised.
