Susan's meetings with my daughter were very helpful and they gave her the focus she desperately needed. She now has the job of her dreams in the city of her dreams

The Center for Career & Life Direction of Wellesley and Kennedy Baker Associates of Sudbury announced a merger to form CareerTreking LLC. The merged entity is dedicated exclusively to coaching college students, recent college graduates and young professionals to meet the unique challenges they face in entering the workforce.
The Career Treking coaching program incorporates best practices from each firm. Clients will examine their backgrounds, set career sights, articulate why they're best for the job, and establish a disciplined, comprehensive job search marketing plan, at a highly efficient pace.
The partners at Career Treking LLC possess a wealth of complementary skills and have sixty-plus years of combined experience in business management and consulting, human resources, recruiting, and career coaching with young adults. They understand what employers look for in prospective hires, have an extensive network across industries, and possess the training and coaching expertise to accelerate career decision-making and acquisition of new skills and behavior.
"There is a huge need for our services among young adults. Colleges don't effectively guide students' career exploration nor teach them how to conduct a successful job search. This is especially problematic since they face an extraordinarily competitive marketplace. By leveraging our experience, skills, and successful coaching programs, Career Treking is poised to meet the substantial need," said Mitch Bornstein, Ph.D. founder of the Center for Career and Life Direction.
Nancy Phifer, a College Admissions Counselor in Wellesley, described that, "Mitch has been extremely effective in helping one of my clients, now a college graduate, discover that his real love was communications not international relations. He is now pursuing a consulting career with compelling materials and a focused job search plan."
"We have a shared philosophy that finding a satisfying job is a life skill. Our experience has shown that the most successful young adults are the ones who have mastered this skill at the onset of their career," added Susan Kennedy founder of Kennedy Baker Associates. "So it made sense to martial our forces to offer best-in-class programs to help young adults identify and validate their skills and interests and translate them into the right job the first time."
The parent of a 23 year old client commented, "Susan's meetings with my daughter were very helpful and they gave her the focus she desperately needed. She now has the job of her dreams in the city of her dreams".
Additionally, Mary Bloomfield Gibbs joins Career Treking LLC as a partner. Formerly of Gatti & Associates, a search and placement firm specializing in Human Resources professionals, Mary's 12 years of experience will be enormously valuable in helping young adults navigate the hiring process. "Unlike many career centers and career coaching companies, we work only with young adults since their needs and skills are very different from more experienced professionals," said Gibbs. "I understand what corporations and human resources professionals are looking for in a young adult and I can coach them with great insight on how to get the job offer for the right job."
Career Treking LLC, with offices in Wellesley and Sudbury, Massachusetts works with individuals in person or via e-mail, telephone, web cam, or file sharing software. Group sessions will be held in person or through webinars.
